Constructed in 2008, the Collegium is a place where participants pursue shared goals while working in a framework of mutual trust and respect. The Collegium is a multi use facility that serves as a model for how servant leadership development happens at a grassroots community level. The Collegium is also home to a consortium of the following for-profit and non-profit programs that serve communities locally and internationally:
This is a local cafe built to serve the breakfast and lunch needs of the local community, in addition to providing mentorship opportunities to single moms under the direction of Adriana Hernandez, our cafe manager. The Collegium Cafe has served as a Goodwill placement site and we work alongside young women to provide them with the job skills to succeed in a restaurant environment. Call Adriana at (509) 380-0963 for more information.
His Produce, founded by Jack Moffett, is a for-profit business, that fosters creative connections between people around the world as it buys and sells fruits and vegetables. The mission of His Produce is to encourage a growing movement of marketplace ministries, as business people choose to use their business skills and gifts in socially responsible ways that not only meet their own needs, but also create resources and jobs for those on the margins of their societies. Tierra Vida Afterschool Program
The Tierra Vida Afterschool program and computer lab also call the Collegium home. Under the leadership of Walter Chimal, kids participate in extra-curricular activities and do homework as part of their development as the future generation of leaders in our community. Together, we help kids find their purpose and place in life while infusing values and helping them succeed academically. For more information, or to volunteer, call Walter Chimal at (509) 380-5436.
